Black and white sundress- Finished!

Yesterday I said all the things I have to say about remaking this pattern, so here's the pix:
The wiener dog pulling a "I just want to SIT in the sun."
From the back, for both of us.
The print is big stylized roses, although it also reminds me of a giraffe.
Overall, I am pleased. What do you think?

  1. I love it. The rose/giraffe print is awesome. And your dog is really cute.

  5. Beautiful, you did a wonderful job. It looks like a nice day in NOLA. T-Rex being stubborn...that's unusual! I love the dress : )

  7. This is the sort of pattern that I would approach with caution (well, I approach ALL patterns with caution because I'm just learning how to sew) because of the fullness of the skirt - not necessarily the most flattering choice for women with hips. But surprisingly, it doesn't look "poofy" at all. Hmm... maybe I should reconsider some of these more full-skirted vintage patterns?

  11. Love your cute new dress. Tell me, is this fabric cotton-spandex from Joann's? I have some similar and wondered how it sews up.

  12. Maybe, it was in the "bottom weight" section and definitely has a width-wise stretch to it
