Luke's vest- McCall's 2447

Here is the pattern I used to make my brother Luke's vest. It was on sale for 99 cents.
Here is my finished product, welt pockets and all. Luke liked it, said the tweed looked like a sofa, and was kind enough to be posted on the interwebs.
The scotch was Andrew's graduation present for him, so he had to pose with both.
It fits pretty close, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. Decent enough for a vest made in a different state. Now he works for a publishing company in Portland, but he is still my baby brother. Isn't he cute?

  1. Very cute - the vest, and your brother of course. You made the vest without even the chance to fit it, and it turned out that well?
Nice work Molly, and congratulations to Luke!

  3. A vest is a tough look to pull off, and he wears it well! The scotch is a great accessory actually, it completes the ensemble perfectly.
And good for you for sewing for someone else! My husband gets an occasional pair of jammie pants and that's it, LOL!
